Nandi Hills
Date: 1-Sep-13
Nandi Hills is one of our most loved travel destinations and also one of the most popular one day getaway spots from Bangalore. More importantly, it holds a special place in our hearts because it was the first place Thilak and I visited together.

We started our journey at around 5:30 AM and reached Nandi Hills by 7:00 AM. I was hoping to witness the hills covered in thick morning fog, but as we got closer to the destination, I slowly began to lose hope because the weather seemed quite clear that day. However, as we started driving up the hill, we were welcomed by clouds floating all around us. It felt as though we were walking above the clouds, surrounded by breathtaking views in every direction.
After spending some time soaking in the beauty of the place, we had breakfast at the KSTDC hotel. Post breakfast, we relaxed in the park and spent the day enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We also visited places like Nehru Nilaya, Gandhi House, and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace.
Around 4:30 PM, we started our return journey and reached Bangalore by 6:30 PM.
