Ooty

Date: 22-August-15 to 23-August-15

Ooty, the queen of hill stations is the beautiful capital of Nilgiri district in Tamil Nadu. This was a special trip for me. I got eight new friends in this trip. They are all Thilak’s friends. They planned a trip to Ooty and included me as well. We were 10 of us (5 boys, 5 girls).

We all hopped into the tempo traveler (TT) at 2 AM from Banashankari. Since we have to cross Bandipur forest to reach Ooty and the forest gates will open only after 6 AM, we had to start at this odd hour of early morning. In the TT, all of us spoke for some time and after few minutes, one-by-one, everyone slept except few. Before the trip, I was very scared that whether I would be able to mingle with everyone or not, but I was wrong. All of them were very sweet and I felt very comfortable talking to them.

  • Route Travelled: Banashankari > Mysore > Bandipur > Ooty
  • Total expense (for two of us): 3400 Rs
  • Photos: Ooty Photos and Coonoor Photos

The detailed day-wise travel journal of our trip is in the following links:
